apple with raisin sauce
Ingredients...
2 large apples
1 tablespoon roasted sunflower seeds
1 tablespoon raisins
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
2 teaspoon water
sesame oil
Preparation...
Slice off the top of the apple and save. With a small knife hollow out
1 “ in the center, being careful not to go through the bottom.
Mix all the ingredients and fill the apple.
Replace the top slice of the apple and bake at 375 F for 40 minutes until
tender.
Cover halfway through cooking.
Enjoy hot with amazake!
Fruit
Kanten
Fruit Kanten is a healthy version of jello, made with agar- agar a sea
vegetable. Agar- Agar is a good source of iodine, soothing to the intestines
and improves the digestion.
Ingredients...
2 cups apple juice
2 tablespoon agar-agar flakes
2 cups or more fresh fruits- apples or pears or strawberries, purred
pinch of sea salt
Preparation...
Put the apple juice in a saucepan, add the agar- agar flakes and heat
over a low flame.
Stir and cook until the flakes are dissolved, about 15 minutes.
Pour into a bowl, add the pureed fruit and fryit chunks, cover and refridgerate
until stiff.
Enjoy!
